Half Witted Mariah
Inspirational Speaker

"Mariah was an unforgettably brilliant speaker. The looks on the engaged faces of the crowd during her speech were those of awe. The comments I received confirms she made a wonderful impression and was a highlight of the night. We are beyond grateful to Mariah for sharing her heroic journey and touching the hearts of all those who attended."

"I really loved your assembly! I think it's very important to teach kids about disabilities, whether physical or mental, at a young age because it sets them up to be nonjudgmental and open-minded in the future. You coming in to talk about your disabilities shows the kids that not everyone lives and learns the same way but that doesn't mean they are any different from the people around them. Every elementary school should celebrate Ability Awareness Week and learn how we can support each other and embrace our differences!"
-Ms. Clara
"Mariah is an amazing speaker who shares her story authentically and passionately. She spoke to my High School Honors Anatomy and Physiology classes as well as my after-school STEM program. She expertly catered her talk to her audience, emphasizing different parts of her journey with each group of students based on their area of interest and learning. Additionally, she created various videos to show my students what her typical day might look like. She also prepared some challenging tasks for my students to actually try one-handed (folding origami, opening candy, cutting an apple, etc.). Mariah also, so graciously and vulnerably, showed my students what a typical OT session might look like – demonstrating the skills and tasks she works on daily. Mariah is a gifted speaker who connects powerfully with her audience. She has a heart for people and clearly wants others to learn about her journey. We were so blessed to have Mariah come speak and I hope to have her return to my classroom next year!"
